While I do not recommend using the same appleid for posting in these forums, and "purchasing" apps, you already have an apple id.

You do not need a credit card to "purchase" free apps.  Apple makes it difficult to wade through their doc to figure out how.

here is how.

go to the app store app on you ipad.  Select a free app.  select create a new account.  Oh my, you now can create an apple id without having to enter a credit card.
