My questions are about the WIFI quality, and if there is a way to test speed download with direct wire ethernet connection.
How many bars are recommended for quality WIFI with Netflix? I am getting three out of five bars showing after running the test program. Also, sometimes getting freezes in watching Netflix content.
I am considering hardwiring the Ethernet from the router to the Apple TV. Once I run a "test" cable fifty (50) feet will I be able to get a reading running the test again? I know the internet provider is now setting up different speed plateaus with higher rates for faster speeds. My question really is will the speed be faster through hard wiring than it is through the Apple WIFI router? If so, I may find the hardwire costs to be less than opting for a faster (and more expensive) bandwith.
