Q: Enough Already!

Enough Already!

Apple must be replete with fecal matter. I can click on "Authorized this computer" and get a message saying "This Computer is already authorized. Including this one, you have authorized one computer out of your available five."

Then I can click on an APP and get "You cannot authorize more than 5 computers. You have already authorized 5 computers with this Apple ID. To authorize this computer you must first deauthorize one of the other computers." THERE ARE NO OTHER COMPUTERS.

I don't have iTunes installed on a PC anywhere else. I tried "deauthorizing" this one 6 times in a row, but that didn't do anything. I changed the name of my iPhone form "iPhone" to "iPhone5C." That didn't help. The instructions for "transferring" APPS are so contorted that I'm pretty certain all of my APPS – and their customizations – will get scrambled into the ether somewhere and never be seen in their useful form again. In fact, I don't really believe you CAN transfer apps. IF I create a new user ID, how do I get the apps from my old user ID onto my phone? In fact, I want to – need to – create a new user ID because I am closing the email account I used to set it up.

What the H is so proprietary that Apple can't say "Here's where you’ve got this running" so users can track down these ghostly barriers to updates? Is there truly no way to recover APPS that were magically deauthorized sometime somewhere somehow by someone unknown?

How can I get all of my APPS back and all my ghostly computers deauthorized? Is creating a new account a viable option? I so, why don't they tell you that. If not, why don't they tell you that?

iPhone 5c, iOS 9.3.4, iTunes v.12.4.3.1
