Q: Trouble Installing Final Cut Pro X Trial

Hi!

 

I can't get passed the "Verifying 'FinalCutProXTrial.pkg'..." stage of the installation process for the Trial version of Final Cut Pro X. The progress bar never, well, progresses. I've waited hours, tried stopping and restarting the process, restarted my computer and started the process again, and I've tried trashing the download and downloading the trial again; nuthin'.

And, yes, my iOS for my MacBook Pro (mid-2012) is up to date (El Capitan 10.11.6), and has a brand new 1 terabyte hard drive.

 

Can anyone help? I'm on a deadline to learn the program!

    iOS runs mobile devices, OS X runs desktop Macs.

    Odd to see this happen.  Delete it, launch Disk Utility (Utilities folder inside the Applications folder), run First Aid on all drives.  Reboot.

    When it does that verification, if it takes more than 30 seconds, click the X to cancel it, something is wrong, don't wait hours.

    You may also want to try logging in as a a different user and try installing it.

    Had the same issue... have you resolved? how?
