Q: Family Sharing Not Working

We have two iPads and two iPhones and have enjoyed family sharing primarily with iBooks but this weekend it just stopped working. I Googled the issue and found a nice Apple article (If you don't see your family's shared content - Apple Support) on how to setup family sharing and went through all the settings to no avail. What is really strange is that iBooks sees that there are books under my shared name (see attached) but no books.IMG_0008.jpg

    Hey there, ApexRon! 

     

    Thanks for joining the Apple Support Communities for an answer to why your shared books are no longer appearing. We absolutely see numbers next to each category under "Ronald" and it certainly would be great to have those back. Just to confirm, tapping on each category does not produce any results? 

     

    Try powering all devices off by holding your Sleep / Wake button and select "Slide to power off". Allow a few moments for the device to shut off and then power back on and test. Additionally, double press your device's home button and swipe the iBooks application window upward to close the app. Open the application again and confirm that the contents are showing.

    I Also am having the exact same problem and your unfortunately suggestion did not work. Family sharing works for the App Store and iTunes just not iBooks. It is becoming very frustrating that iBooks continues to have problems every time there is a new IOS update. Any other suggestions?
