Q: battery depletion on Shuffle

Normally I keep all my devices including my iPod Shuffle (v 1.0.2) fully charged up. So when the following happened several times I feel the need to enquire about it.

When I look at my Shuffle in iTunes it appears to be fully charged. But then within a bit less than a half hour's use it is almost depleted-there's something on the order of 10-20% juice left. The shuffle is no more than two years old so unless the battery got damaged it shouldn’t be doing this but…it is.

I'm bothered and totally mystified by it so if anybody has a hint for me what might cause and/or what I can do to solve this I would be grateful.

    Hi,

    curly1, I am experiencing a similar issue,

whenever I plug my iPod Shuffle (2nd generation) it won't charge properly, instead it will blink orange, even when it's not syncing or in disk 'mode'. My battery lasts for about 3-4 minutes.

P.S. How do you view the charge on iTunes?
