Q: My Iphone was stolen. How can i locate my iphone if someone reset my iphone?!!!!

The first time my phone was stolen was around the year of 2014. I received my phone back after I went to the teacher and principal about it. The second time , is when I handed my phone to my friend because we had iPads at school for schoolwork but she didn't have a iPad so I let her hold my phone until the end of school. After school, I look for her but she wasn't outside   . The next day I asked her where was my phone?, But she said she'll give my phone back tomorrow because she left it home . After that time she never gave my phone back to me.  I tried find my iPhone app but no response. I think she reset it. How can I locate my phone? , Plz help me , I want my phone back .

If you don't have your device

If you still have your device's original packaging, you can check the barcode to find the serial number and IMEI/MEID.

You can also try using iTunes on your computer:

    1. On a Mac, go to iTunes > Preferences. On a PC, go to Edit > Preferences.
    2. Click the Devices tab.
    3. Hold your mouse over a backup of your iOS device to see the serial number. You'll also see the IMEI/MEID and CDN for your iPhone or iPad (cellular model).

Your serial number would be in your backup information. Also, you do not use the serial number to track the phone. If you have logged into iCloud and cannot see the device, then it probably has been restored.

Your device was not stolen, you loaned it to someone and they have not returned it. There is a difference. If they had your passwords, they could very easily restore the device, but if all you provided was the passcode to enter the device, and not the password for your iCloud, then they would have difficulty restoring the device.

If your phone no longer shows up in your tracked devices list when you log in to www.icloud.com in a web browser, then someone knows your iCloud password.  The only way for anyone to turn off find my iPhone or remove it from your list of tracked devices would require them knowing your iCloud password.

If you have not done so you should immediately change the password for the AppleID you use with iCloud.
