Hello sashasonia,
It looks AppleScript Editor will not open on your Mac and Activity Monitor shows that the program is not responding. I know how concerning it can be when programs and apps don't perform as expected and I’m happy to help you get AppleScript up and running again.
The first step is to force AppleScript Editor to quit, and then try opening it again. To force the program to close, follow these steps:
To close an app normally, choose Quit from the app menu in the menu bar, or press Command-Q. If an app is unresponsive, you can force it to close using Force Quit:
- Choose Force Quit from the Apple menu, or press Command-Option-Esc.
This is similar to pressing Control-Alt-Delete on a PC. - Select the unresponsive app in the Force Quit window, then click Force Quit.

Force an app to close on your Mac
If AppleScript Editor still does not respond when you try to open it again, restart your Mac. To restart, select the in the upper-left corner of your screen and then select "Restart". Try AppleScript Editor again once you're logged back into your user account.
If you're still unable to get AppleScript Editor running properly, follow the steps in the article below to start your Mac in safe mode, and then test out the program again. Since starting in safe mode deletes certain system and Kernel caches, verifies your startup disk, and attempts to repair directory issues, you will want to restart your Mac like normal again and test out AppleScript Editor one more time while logged into your user account.
