Q: External Drive won't mount or unmount
I have a MacMini with El Capitan and an external GDrive Slim 500gb that can't be mounted or unmounted. Disk Utility sees it but the volume (name of the drive) is grayed out. I've been using this drive for Time Machine backups.
I'm getting this message:
The disk “HGST HTS 545050A7E380 Media” could not be unmounted.
Make sure that all applications and files are closed on this disk.
This seems to be a problem based on related questions, but I can neither mount or unmount it, so the Spotlight tricks I've seen don't seem to apply.
Any help?
Thanks in advance
