Q: Ipad air 2, typing randomly not responding

So i ve been using my ipad air 2 for quite some time, but as of the last maybe 2-3 month it occasionally seems to lag in weird ways.

And it doesnt happen always, most of the times it works fine without any problems, but some other times it suddenly does really annoying things i will explain below, and restart or closing all other apps doesnt fix it.

Here's what it does

1)Pressing a letter in the keyboard might not type it, i sometimes need to press it multiple times for it to appear

2)Often times when i press 1-2 letters it can sometimes after 4 seconds of doing nothing instantly write the letters repetitively like "jajajjajajajajajajaja", while i am pretty sure i didnt hit them that many times.

3)Scrolling through images many times makes me open one when the ipad is in such a state, something that wasnt happening before as if it takes the light scroll as a hit to the image or something.

Typing can be really infuriating when this happens since it takes ages and i have to type incredibly slow and even then it might just freeze and not write what i want correctly.

Any idea what kind of issue is this? Is there any diagnostics app or something to see what causes it?
