Q: multipart .mxf workflow and pluraleyes
Hey all,
Guess I have a multipart question about mxf workflow. Running FCP X 10.2.2 and plural eyes 3.5...
New to .mxf. Working on a pilot. Multicam and multi audio. I see that FCP X will import .mxf without issue.
1. Is transcoding to 422 a waste of time?
a. If I do transcode I noticed the audio of the .mxf is not included. Maybe sync audio then export as 422. Seems like a long way around...FCP X seems to have handled the import ok.
2. If I use plural eyes to sync everything it can't export .mxf to a standalone file. It can export it to a FCP X xml, but I'm unsure if this is the optimal workflow. Just a big timeline?
3. Is the proper workflow to go ahead and edit, then send to pluraleyes and such needed audio?
4. Will .mxf be ok will multicam?
My guess is to go ahead and edit and set up multicam clips and edit, then send to pluraleyes to sync. Just want to be sure before I start.
Or maybe there is a better workflow all together?
Thanks
