Q: Is there any way to recover Event and project that has disappeared?

As I was highlighting footage from an event, a toddler (not even mine) found the power strip under my desk and of course wanted to push the shiny red light. After restarting, all the raw footage in the event had disappeared. The project that we were creating from the event has also disappeared. Still in denial about having to start over entirely. Give it to me straight, I can take it.

Mac Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6), null

In Movies, open the Final Cut Backups folder and then the folder containing backup copies of your working library. Open the backup that was created most recently before the incident.

The event in question has a yellow exclamation and where the video would be it's red and says missing file. Kind of a scary sight. Thank you for your response however. Is there anything else I can try?

Select your event in the library list and use the Relink Files command from the File menu.

Wow! Thank you so much. I work at a school with children who have disabilities and recovering those files makes a lot of the professionals I work with very happy and saved a lot of time. Thanks again!
