Q: stop up next

iPhone 4. How can I turn the "up next" feature off so I can listen to the podcasts in the order I want? Podcast app makes an "up next" list in an order I don't want. Sometimes I can find a "clear up next" option but not reliably. I don't want to make a list in advance.

    Hello nigeldw3,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I see that you would like to turn the Up Next feature off in your Podcasts app. I use the Podcasts app all the time. So, I know how important it is to make sure that you can use the app how you want. I'm happy to help you find the best resolution.

The Up Next feature is something that you manually enable. If you don't enable the Up Next feature, Podcasts won't be added to the Up Next list.

Use About the Podcasts app, specifically, this section:

    Queue episodes with Up Next

You can use the Up Next feature to queue podcast episodes on the go. Select a podcast, tap on , then tap Add to Up Next. Up Next episodes allow you to play continuous hours of content back to back without opening your Podcasts app.

You can also set up a station or create a custom playlist of podcast episodes.

    Best Regards.

Hi thanks for replying. I have not knowingly "enabled'' up next and I can't find anything in settings etc. to enable/disable. All you can do is add a podcast to the list, not remove it from the list...and every time I sync it resets the up next list.

    Regards,
