Mac OS Xhas that what has been reported or your fear that it will?
I installed it on a 4S, I have not seen that it's slower and thats a pretty old device.

Aug 10, 2016 12:21 PM in response to raymondfromgrovelandby Skydiver119,I Think it does depend on what you're doing on it. My mom uses my old iPad2 for solitaire and it works fine, but my niece uses one for her Smurf's village and it freezes and is very slow....so more processor intensive, more of a lag you'll experience.
IPad 2's are 5-6 years old now, which is positively ancient technology wise. It's like trying to run windows 8 on a commodore Amiga....just more demand than there are resources to handle.

Aug 10, 2016 1:08 PM in response to raymondfromgrovelandby Allan Jones,My iPad 2 (32GB wifi only) has zero issues with any release of iOS 9. I upgraded to 9.3.4 last week and it shows no change in performance, even when using graphics-intensive apps. I have about 20GB free space and only update it by connecting the iPad to a Mac with a USB cable and using iTunes to do the work.
TIP: If using a computer to backup and update an iDevice, make sure the computer has the latest version of iTunes before you start. Saves a lot of grief.
