Q: Can You Use the Internal Drive of a Target-Mode iMac?

I'm going to use a 27" iMac as a second monitor for a separate iMac in Target Mode by connecting the two via Thunderbolt. Is there a way to access the internal HD on the iMac I'm using as a second monitor?

I don't believe you can actually access the drive in the target iMac but any apps that you have running at the time you enter Target Display Mode will still be open and active Use your iMac as a display with Target Display Mode - Apple Support
