Aug 11, 2016 2:22 AM in response to Alchromaby davidsip,Two more questions!
1)
I've noticed that when a clip is rendered, it works better than unrendered... I used to render all my clips when in timeline, assuming I would have better workflow and better quality, Am I correct? specially when slowing down a clip and then applying video quality optical flow.
2)
When creating dvd, it shows up the background image I've selected and the amount of time of video content...
How do I make it more creative? instead of those 2 features?
David.-
Thanks a lot!

Aug 11, 2016 3:03 AM in response to davidsipby Alchroma,1. If the Clips and Project match, then there should be no rendering required.
When Effects, Transitions etc. are added then you will see an Orange indicator appear:

Note the clips do not require rendering but the transition does.
When the computer is fast enough most of this stuff can playback just fine without rendering.
If, for example, the transition/effect plays back unacceptably (really underpowered machine) then render it.
If the whole Timeline has an orange render indicator on it, there is some type of mismatch. Adjust as required.
FCP X usually sets up the Timeline based on the first clip added.
A continuous Orange render bar should send out an alert that something is amiss.
Playback is also affected by the these settings:
2. The DVD customising is limited from FCP X and there is little room to move as you have noticed.
iDVD (latest version) is probably the cheapest, best and easiest for customisation.
Yes, it works with El Capitan.

Just curious about your system specs, since you mentioned optical flow – which is pretty resource-dependent.
