Aug 4, 2016 1:45 PM in response to flyngstadby becky_s22,Hi there flyngstad!
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! Contacts are certainly something we'd like to have in sync across our devices. We can sort this quickly! Check out this article:
Get help using iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders
Contacts are saved in one of three places. Either on your iPhone, in iCloud, or with another email provider. Check under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Make sure your default account is iCloud if that's where you'd like to see them. Remember, you can turn off "Gmail" contacts as an example. Remember to follow instructions to "Keep on my device". We wouldn't want those contacts to go missing.
And as a safe practice, always create a backup:

Aug 11, 2016 5:59 AM in response to becky_s22by stephen156,I have alot of contacts in my iphone 6 plus. Always updated. When I am at work, and I sign into Icloud to get contact info, some of my contacts that are in my iphone are NOT in my icloud. I have spent 3-4 hours on the phone with apple support on this, and it works for a day or two, and then goes right back. I hate spending time on the phone. I need help, at work I cant have my phone, so I need my contacts to SYNC.
Please help.
