Q: iPod touch 6 keeps on dropping wifi

HI guys !

I Had updated to the newest iOS 9.3.4 version, and my wifi started to drop. It happens usully aroun 5-4 minuets of use. Then when I watch a video on YouTube, the wifi drops every 1-4 minuets. Also when I lock my iPod touch it imidietly drops it's wifi, which means I can't get calls from my parents, messages, etc. Also ive already tried resetting my wifi thing. In the reset option. its just really annoying how i was saving up for it since Christmas and now i have to face this.

p.s sorry for my english i am not a native speaker

Does the iOS device stay connected to other networks? If yes that tends to indicate a problem with your network.

Does the iOS device see the network?

    Any error messages?

Do other now  devices stay connected?

Did the iOS device connect before?

Try the following to rule out a software problem:

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    - Power off and then back on your router

.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

    - If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network

    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

    - Restore from backup. See:

    iOS: How to back up

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204184

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem and it does stay connected to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Take a look at this Apple Support article:

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204051

    Reset your network settings.

Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings

Reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on the phone.

    • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
    • Press and hold on the Home button
    • Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings
