Q: Macbook Pro Mid2012 shuts down during startup
My macbook pro shuts down during start up. I tried to reinstall osx but it says an error occurred while preparing installation. Please help.

You may have a failing disk or other hardware problem
- If you do not have a backup use disk utility to restore the internal disk to an external disk so you can try to recover data.
Then format the startup disk and do a fresh install of OSX
