Q: Classic won't sync anymore / iTunes failed

Hello all,

I have an older iPod classic 160gb, which I am unable to synchronise with new music. I had the first time trouble in April when I was told, that my whole music on the iPod was from a different device. My complete music collection was deleted from the iPod. When I tried to upload new music afterwards, first it didn't work at all, and then it couldn't synchronise with my complete mediathek, so I only uploaded about 13,45 gb of music - then it stopped.

I  just tried again to upload music. My iTunes still recognises the iPod, but won't let me load the main page where I can see to which extent the memory is filled with what kind of data. There is also no button which allows me to synchronise the iPod. When I try to start the synchronisation process via the drop-down-menu, I get a warning, that the iPod couldn't be synchronised as there is not enough capacity on my iPod, so the process is blocked. I also cannot select parts of my music to get synchronised.

Currently I'm using iTunes 12.4.3.1. I tried reseting the iPod, but this doesn't do anything.

Can somebody help?  I would so much appreciate it!

Thanks in advance.

P.S.: Please excuse my English. I'm not a native speaker.
