Q: How to get rid of pop-ups in OS X El Captian?
So the other day I was going to create a back up for OS X El Captian on a Blank DVD on my computer so that way if my computer crashed (in all likelihood which is 1 out of 10) you know I could back my computer up and set it up the way it was before it crashed. When I was going to do it however, my sister was calling me down for super, and she wanted me to look for a menu from a local restaurant. Also, just for the record while my computer does have a DVD Drive, I had installed a second Hard Drive, since I never used the DVD Drive. So your probably asking then how on earth where you able to back your system to a disc? I use a SE-506AB/TSBD - Samsung SE-506AB External Blu-ray Writer - BD-R/RE Support - 6x Read/6x Write/2x Rewrite BD - 8x Read/8x Write/8x Rewrite DVD - Dual-Layer M, as an external drive, to write, Burn and play Blu-ray and DVD's on my mac, So when I went to look for the menu, that other night, I unplugged the Drive, Now here's the issue, I keep getting the following message pop-up and there's six of them on my main screen whenever I hit any buttons in the pop-up message it doesn't have any effect.
Plus now its preventing me from shutting down my computer here's what the pop-up looks like:
So you see this is annoying what on earth do I do. Do I plug the drive back in? Please Help. Thanks. I feel like a moron!

Hello Marshall,
Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. I know having an issue with these windows and shutting down is not what you expect. If I understand correctly, you are unable to shut down your MacBook Pro as you have multiple popups related to burning a DVD. Here is what I suggest to resolve your issue:
1. Use the Force Close tool from the Apple menu and see if you can force these pop ups to go away.
Force an app to close on your Mac
2. If you're unable to force those windows closed and shut down normally, you can force it to turn off without shutting down. Hold down the power button for 5 seconds, until your Mac turns off. Use this method only when you can't shut down. You'll lose any unsaved changes to documents that you have open.
How to turn on or turn off your Mac
3. Use Safe Mode to start up your Mac so that it performs certain checks, delete system cache files, verifies your startup disk, and attempts to repair directory issues if needed.
Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up
Limited graphics performance in OS X recovery or safe mode
Cheers!
