I have tried to click Adware! "Remove". But it says: disable because I have no Time Machine backup. Can I remove the adware somehow without Time Machine? And is it save to remove this adware found? Or do i need to make a Time Machine, then i will have to buy a new extern hardisk I think.

Or do you think the problem with Safari shutting down is something else? Maybe that my computer HD is almost full.

    Thank you.

    Kind regards Nana

    How to remove adware?

You will have t do this after starting up in Safe Mode to prevent adware

from interfering with the removal of adware .

    1. Shut down the computer.

Press the power button. Immediately after you hear the startup sound,

press and hold the Shift key.

The Shift key should be pressed as soon as possible after startup,

but not before the startup sound.

Release the Shift key when you see the Apple logo on the screen.

Startup will take longer than usual.

Screen flickering is normal in Safe Mode.

Login to your account. Launch Safari.

        Enter this address       https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/mac/

        in the Safari address bar.

Download,   Install , open,  and run it by clicking “Scan”  button   to remove adware, if present.

        Once done, quit MalwareBytes.

    2. Safari > Preferences > Extensions

        Turn all extensions off

or  uninstall all extensions you haven’t installed knowingly.

    3. Safari > Preferences >  Search > Search Engine :

        Select your preferred   search engine.

    4. Safari > Preferences > General > Homepage:

         Set your Homepage.

    5. Restart normally from  menu in the menu bar.

In addition to dominic's suggestions, you need to start making backups of your data, either by using Time Machine or a clone. Two backups are better than one. Hard drives eventually fail and you will lose all your data.

    Time Machine Basics

    Time Machine Basics (2)

Clone  - Carbon Copy Cloner          (Often recommended as it has more features than some others)

    Clone – Data Backup

    Clone – Deja Vu

    Clone  - SuperDuper

    Clone - Synk

Clone Software – 6 Applications Tested

Time Machine Versus Clones and Archives

    Commonly Used Backup Methods

You also need to free up some space on your hard drive. A minimum of about 10 GB is recommended.

    Disk Space - Free Up

Disk Space – Free Up (2)

Disk Space - Free Up - Mavericks

Disk Space Filling Up – OmniDiskSweeper       10.8+

Disk Space Filling Up - WhatSize

Drive space – minimum free required
