So I understand that you are not receiving emails on your iPad Air 2. There can be a few reasons why this maybe occurring, please try using the steps in the following link to resolve your issue. Get help with Mail on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Is this a new iPad or a new email account, or is it an old account that has suddenly stopped working? If the latter, the settings for your email server may have changed, particularly the SSL and port number.
Sorry. I see that it is a new device. So you're having trouble setting up the account. What service is it? Are to trying to configure IMAP or POP?

Go to settings Email accounts delete accounts that are not working
Then add them back again .
