Aug 15, 2016 2:10 PM in response to trentsolveskyby Johnb-one,right...okay, I'll try to help you. If you go to the top left of the screen you will see a large Apple icon. if you left-click on that icon the words "About this Mac" will pop up, and will tell you more about this mac, or whatever you have. As for Burning, that depends on user permissions. if you go to system preferences, then Users and Groups, then you should be able to make changes there, if that's the main user account and you login as administrator. Also right- clicking on the hard drive on the desktop will allow you to "Get info " and there see what your permissions are for reading and writing. If however, you are using your computer on a guest account, your access to certain things may be restricted, as you don't have permission to do that,. so......change your permissions. Sounds dumb, I know, but there it is. Oh, and could you give us more info if you want us to help you...saying "Oh, I have a box that connects to our computer and has a disk reader in it that's giving me trouble" is kinda vague, don't you think?
any-hew
there you go
