Q: my hp printer display error message after upgrading

I upgraded to OX El Capitan 10.11.6

My HP all in one printer 7210 is flashing error lights and I can't turn it off,. Is it due to the upgrade?

Ive disconnected it from the mac but its still flashing lights etc

iPad, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Turn off the printer then wait ten seconds then restart it. See if the flashing lights persist.

tried to several times and no dice.
Finally uninstalled driver
Still same problem...
Flashing error messages on its own, disconnected from the Mac
