El Capitan requires a MacBook Pro (Mid 2007 or newer).
10.8, 10.9, nor 10.10 are no longer available for download from the App Store.

If desired, you can instead redownload an earlier OS version you previously got by going to the Mac App Store's Purchases tab, or buy a download code for Mountain Lion from the online Apple Store, or go to a physical Apple Store and ask for Mavericks or Yosemite.

A MacBook Pro which has an i7 CPU is at least a mid-2010 model. The one which sithfromcoventry has is a 2011 to 2013 model.
