Just bought a macbook pro retina. Why the resolution of the camera is terrible? Is there any solution?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

The facetime camera is only 720p, which is 0.92 megapixel. Even 1080p is only 2.07mp.

 

It's really only designed for video calls so you don't want to really be transmitting HiRes video across the internet.
