Q: Disable Apple News App?

Does anyone know how I can disable the Apple news app in iOS 9?   I see it's an apple app so I can't remove it. I would setle for disabling it so I'm not getting the feeds supplied to my front page with Siri and nearby suggestions.  ThankS.

If you also want to hide / disable the News icon, go to: Settings - General - Restrictions - turn off News

We must have a failure to communicate.  I don't care about the news app, which I can ignore or disable as you state.  It is the unwanted left wing propaganda that Apple pushes to me when I swipe to the right and go to the search screen.

How is seeing a headline intrusive? How do you know it's propaganda unless you're opening it up and reading it?

Also, it's not being pushed on you. You can turn it off. I followed the instructions in the posts that were marked Helpful and Recommended in this very thread, and that solved the problem for me. You should maybe look into reading the rest of the thread to solve at least this issue of yours.

We get that . . . we are talking about what is being forced upon us, not what we choose to add to the phone ousselves.
