Q: Managing music library across multiple iOS devices

We have multiple devices that are connected to 1 account. We have this because our children aren't old enough to have their own account yet. I'd like to have only the music I want/like on my device. Yet no matter what I do during the sync my device continues to show my children's music. Someone please help!  I'm using iOS 9.3.4 on an iPhone 6s.

Thanks

    Greetings kevolution,

Thanks for your post. I understand that you have 1 account and use it on all your family’s devices since your children aren’t old enough to have their own accounts. You want to keep your music separate from theirs. I certainly understand, I know taste in music does vary by person and by age. I’ll be happy to help.

One thing that I see that would benefit you would be the use of Family Sharing. Family sharing allows you to create Apple ID’s for your children and links them all together so you can have separate Apple Music libraries while sharing purchases and having the ability to control what they purchase. You can find out all about that  in the articles below:

iCloud - Family Sharing - Apple

Set up Family Sharing - Apple Support

Family Sharing and Apple ID for your child - Apple Support

This will allow you to enjoy your music without having your children’s music mixed in.

    Take care
