Q: Use an iMac with a bad graphics card as a monitor?
The graphics card on my iMac went bad. The logic board is OK and otherwise works OK. Can I use the iMac with the bad graphics card as a second monitor in Target Disk Mode or use it as a monitor for a mac mini? The bad iMac is a mid 2011 model (of course!) with both HDMI and Thunderbolt ports.

I think you mean Target Display Mode and any connection to the display would have to go through the graphics card. So unless you replace the bad graphics card, no.
