Q: 4g iphone freezes up on everything
Somewhere around the 9 IOS update my phone started freezing up on everything, the locked home screen, picture taking, opening apps, any app, ending a call, answering a call - we fear some day I'll be in an emergency and the **** thing won't work. I quickly updated again hoping the next 9 update would correct it, nope. I didn't update my husband's 4G and still haven't, and his doesn't lock up like mine. How do I get this phone to work again? Afraid to update anything anymore.

First make a backup if you don't already have a recent one. Then do a restore: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414. First try reloading from the backup. If the problem persists, restore again but set it up as new and not from the backup.
