Q: How to Delete photos from my computer that are on my Iphone 6.

Hello I imported photos from DSLR to my computer then to my iPhone 6, the photos are able to be viewed but the option to delete is not there.

I plugged my phone into my pc to try and delete them through the MY COMPUTER tab, but the only photos that show up are the ones that are on my CAMERA ROLL.

I have a 64 GB iPhone 6 and the photos are taking most of the space. Any help would be amazing

    Hi mulatto5o,

I understand that you've synced some photos to your iPhone, and now you wish to remove them. I know it's important to have control over your data, so I'm happy to provide some direction to help with this.

When photos are synced from your computer to your iPhone, you need to use iTunes to remove them again. To do this, follow the same steps you did to sync them, but uncheck the Sync Photos option:

iTunes 12 for Windows: Add photos to iPod, iPhone, or iPad

    Remove photos from your iPhone

    1. Connect your device to your computer.

    2. Click the device button, then click Photos.

A picture of the device button with Photos selected in the sidebar

    3. Deselect “Sync photos from”

    4. Click Apply

If these photos are no longer on your computer, or these steps don't work for you, try the steps here:

Delete photos and video synced from iTunes when you can’t access the originals - Apple Support

To delete photos that have been synced from a computer that's no longer accessible:

    1. Create a folder on the computer that you now sync with, and add a single photo to that folder.
    2. In the Photos tab in iTunes, click the box next to "Sync Photos From."
    3. In the pop-up menu next to "Sync Photos From," choose the folder you created in step 1.
    4. Apply the change.
    5. Uncheck "Sync Photos From."
    6. Apply the change again.
    7. Your synced photos will now be removed from the device.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities, cheers!
