Q: Windows 10 PC Current iTunes version cat download purchased items

Windows 10PC; current iTunes version

When syncing with a replacement iPhone 6s (because of a defective iPhone 6s battery), I get the message that these have 12 songs that weren't synced because they can't be found.

Contacted Apple Chat, and they claimed to have reset the All for You album, and even after that I am unable to download purchased albums.

Called the service number provided by the Chat Representative and its busy, and turns itself off after 2 or 3 Seconds.

I do not use i Cloud... and when I go to the Account/Purchased/All all of the albums listed above are listed as purchased, but selecting an album only shows the "X" in the upper left hand corner.

When the album is opened the songs are listed with an option to "Buy" or play, but no Download option

No Cloud icon, probably because I don't use iCloud.

Seems to me...

1. You owe me the music I paid for

2. This shouldn't be so difficult, or should I say impossible.

3. Perhaps I should look to another avenue to purchase my music.

4. I now have trust issues with Apple iTunes...You have customer issues.

I've been using iTunes for years, and have been through three generation sof iPhones, ipad, ipod, and now Watch... beginning to wonder if the hours I spend securing support are worth the cost ...

I need some professional level help here.

When there are tracks listed in your library with an exclamation mark that means that iTunes cannot locate them, iTunes will nevertheless assume you have them for the purposes of comparing your library with your purchase history. This is why you don't get download links for those items. Delete the broken entries from the library, don't hide from iTunes in the cloud if prompted, close iTunes, reopen, download from the cloud links that may appear or your purchase history as described in Download your past purchases - Apple Support.

This solved the problem and quickly...

I have no idea why the solution was not present, or I could not find it in any of the apple websites addressing the problem... there were many posts with similar issues... strange...

Thank you for a quick, simple and effective solution... Wonder if the folks in the chat room who could not solve the problem would benefit from knowing the solution for future customers with similar issues...

    You're welcome.

This is (mostly) a user to user support community. Some community specialists occasionally post links to relevant support documents. One would hope that those manning the chat rooms know of that particular idiosyncrasy. Perhaps the way you phrased the question here was a little different and it helped me spot the approach that would work.
