Q: Built in disk drives not recognized- Mac pro 2010
Hello all. At work I have a 2010 Mac Pro tower that has two built in disk drives, running 10.10.5. Recently the computer isn't recognizing its own built in drives. The eject key on the keyboard won't open either of them, nor will the eject option in the menu bar - it thinks there are no drives connected. This is a work computer, and we would very much like to have this functionality back. Thanks in advance!

After rebooting do they:
- Show in Disk Utility?
- Show in System Profiler under SATA/SATA Express?

Have you tried pulling the sleds out and reinserting them?
Have you tried moving the sleds to another bay?
Try resetting the SMC
