iPod

Q: Model number of 1st Gen iPod wall charger?

Hello,

I have a 1st Gen iPod (5GB).

I've lost the cable and wall charger for it.

Could someone tell me the model number of the original wall charger? I'd like to track one down on ebay.

Also, any recommendations on a battery replacement kit (with tools)?

I believe you're looking for an A1003 charger and a firewire lead to go with it. I've bought battery replacements for 5th gen. onwards but I've no idea how easy it is to service the original model or source parts.

Any Apple Firewire charger will work. As far as the battery, you can find some on eBay for like 20 bucks. OWC also has them for like 25 bucks.
