Q: How can I erase a previous user's apple id from my itunes on  my ipad?

Hi,

I am a teacher, and last year I received several iPads for my classroom that had previously been used by another teacher.  I reset them all last year and used them under my own apple id without an issue.  However, this year when I reset them, they seem to have reverted back to the previous user's apple id.  When I check under the iTunes & app store as well as icloud, it is my apple id that shows up.  However, when I try to update or download apps, it shows her apple id and asks for the password.  I have already tried erasing all content and resetting, but the problem persists.  I cannot sign her out, because when I look up the apple id mine is the one shown.

Please help!

Unfortunately, you cannot erase another user's Apple ID from these iPads. That person must log on with their Apple ID and remove it.

What has happened is that these iPads have now been enabled for Activation Lock which will prevent a "new" user from accessing it. You may have to contact Apple directly, but whether or not, can actually help you is doubtful. Sorry!
