Q: OS X Command Line Administration
Hi Everbody!
Perhaps this has been asked a thousand times, but I have searched and not found anything useful.
Are there any resources around for working out how to administer OS X via command line/terminal commands? I've only come across peoples examples on the web, but I am after some pdf, book, guidance or whatever on all the various commands and how to set things.
Basically I want to create a script which when run on OS X automatically configures the OS to say, enabled firewall, set screen lockouts, enable auto-updates etc. Pretty much just general sysadmin stuff.
Should be referring to some Unix material or something similar?
Be interested to hear if anyone else has had this issue before and what they used to learn how to administer this?
Looking forward to seeing peoples responses,
Thanks
Stephen
