Thanks for seeking help with your iPod Nano here in the Apple Support Communities. I know how important it is to have your device working properly. I'm happy to provide you a step to complete for your rewind being unresponsive.
I recommend that you try resetting your iPod.
Resetting your iPod shouldn't affect these:
- Your music and other files
- Most settings
- The date and time—unless your iPod lost power and reset when you plugged it into power
- Your Bookmarks, On-The-Go playlists, shuffle, and Backlight timer
Please check this help article for how to reset your iPod Nano: Learn how to reset your iPod.
Thanks again and have a great rest of your day.
