Q: The podcast is not included in the iTunes Store podcast directory. An error occurred attempting to play an episode in the podcast

I have submitted my podcast feed to iTunes Connect three times. It shows the same error: The podcast is not included in the iTunes Store podcast directory. An error occurred attempting to play an episode in the podcast.

I can't find anything wrong with my feed. It's validated. I subscribed it to iTunes as Apple suggested in email. It works well in iTunes too.

Some people say there should be at least three episode ready in the feed. I only have three. Is this the problem? Any one can help me? Thanks!

This is my feed:

    I checked the feed in Podcasts Connect and it validated there and said 'Prepared for Submission'. It validates in CastFeedValidator;

    however when subscribing in iTunes the top episodes in the feed, E000 (which is the only one Apple checks) only downloaded half way and then stopped - though on subscribing a second time it worked OK. These odd sorts of glitches happen sometimes and possibly this is what caused the problem. I should try submitting it again and see what happens. (You don't have to have three episodes in the feed - one is sufficient.)

    Thank you so much! Do you think I should delete the E000 for now, put it back when the podcast is approved? Or what do you think I can do now? Apple only check the feed once every day. It has put me in anxiety for three days....

    You could try deleting E000 as you suggest. 'Checking the feed once a day' isn't the case. When you validate it in Podcasts Connect it checks it immediately. (Once accepted the Store checks for updates periodically, usually around 2 days).

    My podcast has been approved! I deleted the E000. It worked. Thanks for your help!
