Aug 17, 2016 2:53 PM in response to gdubbya58by Phil0124,How exactly did you perform this change?
Did you go to http://appleid.apple.com and log in with the current E-mail and password and changed the e-mail address there?
Or did you create an entirely new Apple ID with the new E-Mail?
If you did the first, then you'll need to sign out of all services in your iPhone and sign in with the updated Apple ID.
If you did the second thing, then you have created a second Apple ID and all purchases will forever be tied to the original Apple ID.
You can still sign out of the services on your iPhone and sign in with the new ID, but Apps will forever require the old Apple ID to update.

Aug 17, 2016 7:25 PM in response to Phil0124by gdubbya58,I've done as you suggested and noticed how hard it is to delete the old email address that's assigned to my account that's under iCloud... I wonder what do I need to do now?

Did you try changing the ID in all of these as I suggested?
iCloud, iTunes & App Store, Messages, FaceTime, and Game Center if you use it.

Aug 17, 2016 7:54 PM in response to gdubbya58by Phil0124,If your current E-mail address is iCloud or Apple based E-Mail address (i.e ends in @me.com, @iCloud.com, or @mac.com) you cannot change it.
If its an address from a third party provider, it should be no harder than clicking on the "Edit" link next to the E-Mail address.
Where exactly are you running into issues?
