Q: Can't sync Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Mouse to my Macbook

I have a 13" Macbook (Aluminum) late 2008 running 10.11.6 (El Capitan) and am trying to pair with my brand new Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Mouse but my computer isn't recognizing any devices. How do I get my computer to recognize the mouse?

Have you checked to see if the Microsoft mouse drivers are suited to El Capitan. Apple specifically designed a mouse for this OS.
