Aug 17, 2016 11:12 AMby Allan Jones,Upgrading RAM should not cause overheating unless you pranged a sensor connector while the back panel was open. I would first run Apple Hardware Test to check for damaged sensors or fans:

It is possible that you have unneeded third-party software causing problems. Anti-virus software, so-called cleaning/tune-up/ optimizing apps can cause slowness and overheating. So can some security software for online banking that too many financial institutions push, not knowing it does not work well on Macs.

That can cause serious problems. For an explanation and fix, please see this excellent user tip written by teh author of EtreCheck:
Fixing a hacked /etc/hosts file
That may clean up enough of EtreCheck's red flags to allow us to get to the root of the problem. Once yo uhave corrected that isse, please run Etrecheck again.
Oh, I suspect that µTorrent is not doing you any performance favors. It also exposes you to things that may have created the /etc/hosts issue.
