Q: Why won't Safari open Google?

Safari 6.1.6 is the last Safari version for 10.7.5.
Apple stopped updating Safari for 10.7.5 years ago and recently some sites have stopped allowing old browsers to work because of security flaw in the old browsers.
In April of this year Google stopped updating Chrome fro less than Mavericks and in August of this year Mozilla is doing the same for normal FireFox but maybe not this:

You can try Googling for the hack that allows running El Capitan and less on your model Mac.

- Are you on a home network?
Are you the administrator of the network?
Have you powered off and then back on your router?
Can other devices connected to this same network open the Google search site?
Maybe your router got hacked.

Aug 18, 2016 9:08 AMby johninencino,Nothing happens. The page won't load so I stay on whatever page I'm starting from. Sometimes, I get a Safari page saying "Safari can't open the page". The progress bar will go halfway across the browser, then stop. I get similar messages with Chrome and Firefox. But I have to wait quite a while for that to happen.
