Q: All my music is gone from iphone

In a super annoying turn of events, all my music is gone from my phone and on the cloud somewhere. This was definitely not an obvious choice in anything I did. I'm very tech oriented and would have noticed this choice if it was put in front of me. Apple just stole my music (which wasn't even purchased from Apple) from my phone. They should no do this unless making it very clear to the end user.

I bought the 128gb iphone so I could store my music on my phone.

This is an obvious ploy to get you to use their model of cloud based music instead of making a product that works for the end user.  I don't know what happened. 3 recent changes: I was paying for Apple Music and recently quit because it wasn't as good as spotify; itunes on my computer updated; and the iOs on my phone updated.

How do I get it back?

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.4

They do suggest backing up your music before joining Apple Music: About Apple Music - Apple Support

    Before you join

Before you join Apple Music, update your devices, back up your music, and decide if you want an Individual or Family membership.

    Back up your music

Back up your iOS devices, and your Mac or PC, so that you have a copy of your music and other information if your device is ever replaced, lost, or damaged.

Apple Music doesn't include a backup service, so make sure that you always have a backup of your music collection.

That is completely irrelevant, but I have all my music backed up on my PC and other places.

I want it on the iPhone where I put it.
