Q: itunes sync issue

I cant sync both of my iphones 5S&6 in iTunes. The sync options are greyed out. I have updates ITunes and IOS. I authorized the phones on my PC. My device driver is up to date. What else should I try?

Thank you

We need more information.  Is your iTunes current (version 12.4.3)?  Is your iOS current (version 9.3.4)?  Is your computer's operating system current?  (What version?)

Had you ever synced one or both of these iPhones to this computer before?  Had they been synced to some other computer?  If so, how did you migrate from the old computer to the new one?

Its a newer computer, may not have connected the phones to it yet. Havent done any migrating, in fact I don't know what that is.

PC uses W10, phones are running ios 9.3.4, I updated iTunes yesterday but don't recall the version number.

    Please let me know.

    thanks again.

By "migrating", I mean that perhaps you had used one or more computers before you used this newer one.  Perhaps you synced one or both iPhones to that older computer.  In any event, you probably had stuff in iTunes on an older computer.  If so, I'm asking how you went about moving that content to the newer computer.

I think you need to explain your issue in better detail.

On one post you said: "I cant sync both of my iphones 5S&6 in iTunes".

On another one you said:  "Its a newer computer, may not have connected the phones to it yet".

These are contradictory. A better explanation of the issue would help.

And did you check the two links I provided?

Thank you ELCPU. I followed the link you provided, i changed the driver, it worked. But now when I ask it to sync photos it promps the message that says it will delete all of my photos. So how do I stop that from happening. I have backed it up to this new computer.

    THANK YOU

You are welcome. Yes, you are correct. It will prompt you and warn you about deleting. What that means is that any previously synced photos will be deleted and replaced with whatever photos you have now selected to sync from the computer. Photos in Camera Roll should not be affected but I am always very careful - make sure you have imported the photos from Camera Roll to your PC. That way you will not lose them. Import them by following this article and if you have more questions just ask....
