Q: iPad activation help?
I'm pretty sure it's an iPad 3. A few weeks ago I went to it, finding it in need of activation. It said to enter the Apple ID used to set up the iPad. I entered my Apple ID and it said 'this id cannot be used to unlock this iPad'. I tried a different email, following which it of course said that it is the 'incorrect ID or password'. I changed my password and tried again, it said the same thing. I changed my password back and changed my email, it said the same thing. Has this happened to anyone, and are there any ideas at to what to do?

If you are attempting to recover the original Apple ID that was yours, then it certainly should be possible to do so.
