Q: Imac, keyboard default

I am using wired APPLE numeric keyboard, when I press "a" key I got "az", same for "q" = "qs" and for "w" ="xw", lost "t" and "y" (same in capital). I check again with new keyboard with the same problem. I have checked keyboard parameters.

I have launched "Applejack", checked disk and permissions (no problem).

My iMac seems OK, but only keyboard problem ?

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Reset the SMC 2-3 times, if the problem still appears after the resets then try another USB keyboard and test. If the problem is gone with the 2nd keyboard then you know the original is faulty and must be replaced. Keyboards can and do wear out or can become damaged due to owner abuse.

Thank you very much, I try again with a third old Apple keyboard, everything is OK.

My two new keyboard (aluminium) are damaged (bought from Apple store).

    Best regards
