Q: Cannot reinstall imovie
First of all i have deleted imovie since i've had problems with updating it.
Now that i try to reinstall it, my app store won't confirm that i have deleted the app. It only constantly says "update". When i try to press update, it shows the wheel spinning, but no matter how long i wait, nothing happens. Please help.

Hello Kasp927n,
Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. I know how important getting iMovie re-installed is to you! If I understand correctly, you are unable to delete and redownload a new copy of iMovie from the App Store. Here is what I suggest to resolve this issue:
1. First, try emptying your Trash and then restart your Mac and try installing from the Mac App Store again.
How to turn on or turn off your Mac
2. Next, use Safe Mode to start up your Mac so that it performs certain checks, delete system cache files, verifies your startup disk, and attempts to repair directory issues if needed. Then try re-installing from the App Store in Safe Mode.
Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up
Limited graphics performance in OS X recovery or safe mode
3. You can figure out if this unexpected behavior is related to user file or setting by trying to reproduce the issue from another user account. This process includes creating a new user account, logging in to it, and testing for the issue.

Cheers!
