Q: My iWatch no long show contact names or pictures

After the initial pairing between the iPhone (iOS 8.3) and iWatch (version 1.0.1) contact names and pictures were displayed on the iWatch.  Now the iWatch no longer shows contact names in Messages and contact pictures in Friends.  This started after I reset my iPhone 5S to fix another problem.  The iPhone reset wiped out the pairing with iWatch.  After repairing the iPhone and iWatch  contact names and pictures do not show up.  These actions did not correct the situation:

1. Powering off the iWatch.
2. Powering off the iPhone.
3. Powering off both iWatch and iPhone.
4. Deleting and adding back each contact in Friends in the iWatch app on the iPhone.

The iWatch does not have any of the contact on my iPhone in any of its apps.
