Q: Scan software for el captain ?

I have a CanoScan 4400F and my current/old working software was "CanoScan Toolbox 5.0". Now it isn't. What software is good for El Captain and my scanner ?

It's already pre installed on your Mac.

Look for the Image Capture app in your Applications folder.

I second Carolyn. 3rd party scanning utilities should be avoided on the Mac. Image Capture works exceptionally well for nearly any scanner from a major manufacturer.
